Business resilience powered by aligned and reliable processes, behaviors and technology
30 April 2020
Business disruptions happen on a daily basis, deliveries are late, production lines break down or customers change their orders at short notice. Most organizations handle such variability with a fair degree of success, while the efforts invested vary significantly. However, every now and again massive global events will happen also known as a “Black Swan Event” that can have widespread and in some instances potentially catastrophic impact on organizations. These events can stem from socio-economic, geo-political, natural disasters and health challenges.
While such events don’t happen regularly, they still happen, and will continue to happen, frequently enough that we will have to deal with their impact approximately once a decade – not frequent enough that we become experts at dealing with such events, but still often enough that we need to understand how to deal with and learn from them.
In this virtual workshop, Oliver Wight and SAP will discuss how processes, behaviors and technology can come together to form an adaptive organization, provide fast responsiveness and establish an informed supply chain where disrupting events and risk factors are identified, analyzed and mitigation scenarios dynamically created, updated and executed.
