The programme consisted of:

Paul Stokes, S02 Business Operations of Defence Storage & Distribution Centre (DSDC) North, who explained how they accelerated and standardized core business process across two major locations, the real benefits that have been realized and future plans in terms of the continued Journey to Excellence.

Lawrie Rumens, Deputy Chairman and Gary Frost, Director of Projects from Hawes Signs Limited presented on how in the early stages of their Journey to Excellence Hawes Signs identified foundations of their business that were not good enough. They will show how addressing these has given significant business gains with much more to follow from their ongoing excellence programme.

This will be the first in a series of 'warts and all' progress reports of a real live Journey to Excellence.

Eric Staurset, Marketing Communications Manager of the Borealis Group, presented? Demand Management in a volatile market with capital intensive manufacturing assets representing a number of challenges. His presentation will demonstrate how this is tackled and as well as key actions undertaken on their road to Class A.
