The day commenced with Dr Will Barton from Flexysy who outlined how after initial integration and rationalisation of the business, with a new management board to take the business forward, how the team developed and implemented new core values, strategy and organisational change, and the key part played in the process by re-engineering of the supply chain and the introduction of rigorous S&OP.

Helen Maye, of Abbott Diabetes Care Division will explained how Abbott achieved organisational readiness and the model for management change and how this model can help and fits with Class A and how it supports the Proven Path.

We completed the programme with Geraint Spearing of DARA Almondbank. He described how the Defence Aircraft Repair Agency used Class A to drive organisational change that was required when they became a Trading Fund Business. The Components division is the first DLO business in the UK to achieve Class A in planning and control - a project that embraced the education of people, the change in business structure and a highly complex ERP implementation.
