Class A the driving force in company turnaround

The Manchester, UK based division of Great Lakes Chemical Corporation has been awarded Class A certification in MRP II Planning and Control by business education consultants Oliver Wight Europe. The award was achieved in just under a year and has been a driving force in the turnaround of the division with its return on capital employed rising from 8% to 20%. Other benefits include the elimination of a 'hidden factory', and major improvements in a range of performance measures, including inventory, lead times and customer service.
