The next Continental European meeting of the Proven Path Club is to be held in Brussels in November, following the success of the inaugural European conference in Rotterdam.

The next convention of the Proven Path Club will be at the Sofitel Brussels Airport Hotel on Thursday 29th November, 2007 and promises to be an exciting event judging by feedback from the Rotterdam conference, where delegates at the luxurious, five-star Westin Hotel heard motivational business improvement case studies from H J Heinz, DSM NeoResins, Farm Frites and Borealis Polymers.

Borealis Polymers produces more than four million tonnes of polyethylene and polypropylene a year, supplying plastic products for use in public utility pipes, cables, household appliances and automotive parts. It has sites right across Europe with subsidiaries and joint ventures in the USA, Brazil and UAE. Its Class A programme with Oliver Wight began in 2002 in support of the company's strategy to create and deliver innovative solutions to its customers. It achieved Class A status in 2006, having dramatically improved customer service and profitability along the way - and having delivered a tangible financial benefit of over Ä30 million since the programme began. It is now planning to integrate its processes across its joint venture partners, moving the class A programme out into the extended supply chain.

Farm Frites, a family-owned business with 1,700 employees across 13 European countries began an integrated business management with Oliver Wight in April 2005. The company identified the potential for Ä1.5 million of savings and is already half way towards achieving them. There has been a 33 percent uplift in forecast accuracy in two years and Farm Frites expects to reach Class A standard in 2008.

Heinzís Netherlands and Poland operations achieved Class A for 'Capable Integrated Business Management' just 12 months after setting out on their Class A journey. The company is now delivering performance metrics of between 95 and 99 percent right across its Northern European operation and has between 20 and 30 high-end products in development every year.

DSM Neoresins manufactures additives for paints and adhesives. The Dutch company has achieved Class A in all five chapters of the 5th edition checklist after a 14 year relationship with Oliver Wight and is now making plans to move onto the sixth edition. In 2005 a surge in demand was matched with a sudden shortfall in the availability of raw materials causing the company's on-time-in-full performance to drop significantly. Senior business director Sjack Griifoen says, "Our customers helped us during that period but Class A saved us because the willingness to put things right was already in place." 'Orders-on-request' was restored to a sustainable 95%-plus inside 12 months.

The next Proven Path Club meeting is at the Sofitel Brussels Airport Hotel on Thursday 29th November, 2007.
